Speakeasy Themed Party 30th Birthday

This is one for the books or let’s say one for the blogs? lol I love birthdays, & parties.. especially themed parties! I always plan my birthdays and have a theme to make it more memorable! For my 30th birthday 2 years ago, I did a “Goodbye Roaring 20’s” Speakeasy theme. Everyone dressed up like in the late 1920’s, also gave $100 each for the best dressed male and female. For my cake, I just wanted a small tall square cake. Me & my mom designed and made it, everything was edible except for the toppers. I found this cute speakeasy venue in Chicago called Room 13 from Peerspace app, the bartender was so nice as well. Would love to come back especially when they have an event. The vibe and music at the venue were just perfect for my intimate themed party. The venue allows you too bring your own food but needs to get the drinks from the bar. We brought the decors and food. To top it off I included on my invitation, RSVP to get the password. Then they have to mention the password at the door before they can enter the party because that’s how they do it back in the 20’s for a speakeasy. Watch the video to see how and what happened!
